"A gourmet tea experience enhanced by charming surroundings."

That's how organisers describe afternoon high tea at the Bermuda Perfumery in St George's.

The event is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays by Sweet P. They serve freshly baked pastries and miniature cakes, scones, finger sandwiches and fresh fruit tarts, served with Bermuda preserves, Chantilly cream and local honey.

The menu is adapted weekly to bring the freshest of local ingredients to the table. Delicacies such as miniature brioches and Chicken Coronation sandwiches have become customer favourites and appear on the menu regularly.

"We want our guests to savor a gourmet tea experience enhanced by charming surroundings," said Paula Hayward, partner with Nicki O'Connell of Sweet P. "We use the best ingredients available and present traditional tea favorites while also offering treats that are new and original to the tea trolley."

Paula and Nicki of Sweet P have been hosting the teas at the Perfumery since February.  They opened the Sweet P bakery in December 2011, when they started creating custom designed cakes, cookies and cupcakes.

"The Afternoon High Tea experience would be a unique and charming addition to guests' day out in St Georges," they said. "To start their adventure with the Walking Tour of the Olde Towne, The Market (on Saturdays) and strolling through the narrow streets visiting the National Trust properties, Deliverance, The World Heritage Center and finish off with a nice lunch option of Afternoon High Tea with us, Sweet P, in the historic setting of Stewart Hall."

"We are proud that Sweet P has selected the beautiful grounds of Stewart Hall to serve high tea," said Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone, Perfumer of The Bermuda Perfumery. "Sweet P provides an exclusive tea experience to anyone looking for spending an afternoon in an elegant garden setting."
