Nothing says “I love you” like a dessert. So why not treat your sweetie to something sweet at one of Bermuda’s finest restaurants this Valentine’s Day?

Port O’ Call is calling you to experience its delectable cuisine. Their award-winning menu coupled with the cool-sophisticated ambiance attracts some of the island’s most discerning diners.

Of their signature dessert dishes most raved about is the Baked Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. This heavenly dessert is their claim to fame, affectionately dubbed “The Best Cheesecake on the Island” by locals and visitors alike.  Some have gone even so far to call it “The Best Cheesecake in the world” – it’s a seemingly bold claim, but once you taste it you will see why people just can’t get enough.

“I try cheesecake everywhere, and this was amazing! Went in for a drink and a dessert and I will definitely be going back again.”  PuddyTat, Canada – TripAdvisor.

Attached to the five-star Royal Palms Hotel, is Ascots, one of the island’s most prestigious restaurants. Here, excellent food is to be expected but the service might impress you even more. They know how to make their guests feel special – even if you only order a drink or small plate you’ll be treated like an honored patron.

“Beyond food and service,  there was an overall feeling that this restaurant imparted, which made us feel very comfortable; Ascots did not have the artificial pretense of some restaurants, and offered  a more pleasant formality…”  Monty 0253, New York – Trip Advisor

If you really want to woo your significant other then bring them here! Their desserts are delightfully ornate – consider them edible art – each one is a mini masterpiece that will have you reaching for your smartphone to snap a picture before you even touch the fork!

A guide to fine dining in the city would not be complete without mentioning Harry’s restaurant, located on Hamilton’s Waterfront. This cutting edge establishment is owned by the same team as Miles Market; the only gourmet grocery store on the island. They specialize in creating innovative cuisine often using “harder to come by ingredients” to compliment the more classic ones (eg. The Harry’s Now Famous Burger made with 7oz Wagyu & Miles Aged Beef Sirloin, from their bar menu.) This classy modern venue is poular for young professionals, keen to be seen eating the latest and hippest culinary creations.

What’s most inviting about this restaurant is that there are so many ways to experience it! You can sit outside on the veranda to enjoy the waterside view, or inside near the bar which is very popular for guests who come primarily for drinks at Happy Hour but end up wanting something informal to nibble on. They also have a very intimate dining area where you can enjoy a romantic dinner (or just dessert) with your special someone.

Another plus is that they often tailor their menu just for the season. Check out this beautiful Valentine’s Day dessert!

“Pomegranate is said to be a natural aphrodisiac and Rose a classic symbol of love, while the aroma of almonds supposedly arouses passion in females.” Pastry Chef Glenda
