My name is Heidi Cowen and I am the grand-daughter of a lighthouse keeper. My grand father was the last of the lighthouse keepers before the light went electronic in 1969. I actually come from a line of lighthouse keepers - dating back for 8 generations.

I lived in what is now "The Lighthouse Tea Room" for seven years from the age of three. I now own the restaurant and because of my close ties to this little place on the hill, you will notice personal touches that can only be found here.

I do everything up here, from writing the "table stories" for your dining amusement, to making all the desserts, to wrapping the silver in banana leaves and rosemary, to cook ing your meal and even serving it at times...... and when everyone leaves I sweep and mop the floor.

My "right arm" is a young local by the name of Terry Iris. I found him in the restaurant when I bought it, and he has stayed beside me all the way. Together we have formed a team (only two crazy people in love for this business could) that offers a great dining experience, some magic and a lot of fun.

If you do nothing else, make sure that you join us for dinner. Magic is the only thing that comes to mind. Our place is turned into a fantasy of candle light, romance and the ability to touch the stars.
Our menu changes every week, and is filled with local garnish that nobody wants to eat because it just looks too darned pretty. We have a full liquor license as well, so join us for a mimosa breakfast or a glass of wine with dinner.

The views from our restaurant are second to none. You can see the whole Island from our windows, and if you need to get closer to the sky, you can always climb 185 steps to the top of the Lighthouse itself.
