Gem Arrives

The Norwegian Gem made her maiden voyage to Bermuda this week, bringing more than 2,600 passengers into Dockyard. It's rare for Bermuda to receive so many visitors in one cruise call.

The Gem is notable in the Norwegian fleet for her immense size, breathtaking beauty and relative youth. The ship is less than four years-old. And when walking her halls the carpet still has that new car smell.

Bermuda.com received an exclusive tour of the Gem on her first Bermuda call. We saw everything from the Captain's bridge, the 1,042-seat Stardust Theatre and the Concierge Level where only a special key will gain you access.  Oh and who could forget the onboard bowling alley!

Enjoy the photos from Kageaki Smith.  More photos later.

My wife and I just returned from a cruise to Bermuda on the Gem. Both Bermuda and the Gem were much more beautiful and welcoming than we had imagined they would be . . . and we imagined a lot!
