CELEBRITIES VS JOURNALISTS (Part 2 of 4)
Although the tone of the Hackers
Cup visit was jovial, the celebrities and journalists competing
for the inaugural Hacker's Cup took the contest very
seriously. No player wanted to lose -- and it showed.
For the first two days of competition visiting and local
journalists took on a collection of celebrities from the U.K. which
included legendary athletes like five-time Olympic gold
medalist Sir Steve Redgrave, footbal legend Gary McAllister and
Australian rugby player Michael Lynagh.
Sir Steve was captain of the celebrity team and famed sports
writer Peter Corrigan led the journalists.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the BBQ on the 10th tee
as players made the turn in a fierce two-man match play competition
at the Port Royal Golf Course - home of the 2012 PGA
Grand Slam of Golf.
