The North Rock Brewing Company is Bermuda’s only “Brewhouse” and has been serving fine food and handcrafted ales to both visitors and locals for the past eight years.
Brewing operations are carried out on premises with the “Brewhouse” being located right in the corner of the Pub.
The brewery consists of a 7- barrel, steam fired brewhouse manufactured in Prince Edward Island, Canada. (Originally the system was a 3-barrel unit that we quickly outgrew!) NB – a barrel is the unit of measurement used most commonly by the brewing industry and equals 33.3 US gallons, therefore brewing 7 barrels per batch equals 233 gallons or 1,800 + pints of beer! A full sized keg equals ½ barrel.
North Rock Brewing Company currently produces approximately 320 barrels annually, (or in other words more than 600 kegs) comprising of 5 different styles at any one time. Our current selections include: “Whale of a Wheat”, “St. David’s Light”, “Somers’ Amber Ale”, “Trunk Island Pale Ale” and “North Rock Porter”. We are also currently tapping two seasonal products “Long Tail Lager” and “Blackwatch Stout”.
The restaurant offers a wide and varied selection of dishes from around the world with an emphasis on seafood and English pub favorites. Seating is offered in three distinctly different areas; our ever-popular mahogany trimmed pub, the sophisticated atmosphere of the dining room (100% smoke free) or our spacious patio.
Come on in for dinner and choose from appetizers such as Baked Goat Cheese & Honey Parcel, Escargot, Baby Back Ribs or Bermuda Fish Chowder, follow these with entrée selections that include Fillet Mignon, Roast Rack of Lamb, Atlantic Salmon or Surf & Turf. Perhaps you might be tempted by pub favorites such as Steak & Ale Pie, Fish & Chips or Toad in The Hole. Top this off with one of our award winning desserts and perhaps a glass of Port.
Lunch offerings include Grilled Sirloin of Beef, Ploughman’s Lunch, Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich, The Ultimate Hamburger and of course Fish & Chips!
Serving Lunch 11.30 am until 3.00 pm Monday through Friday and until 4.30 pm on weekends.
Dinner is served daily 6.00 pm until 10.00 pm.
