About 20% of the visitors who come to Bermuda are here on
business. It's a big part of the overall tourism mix.
So it makes sense that a lot of what is offered in Bermuda is
geared toward that crowd, whether it be business meals, golf
outings or hotels catered to business travelers.
Often business travelers extend their stay, turning a business
trip during the week into a leisure trip over the weekend.
It's also not unusual to find business travelers hanging out at the
Rugby Classic, the PGA Grand Slam of Golf or any of the other
sports tourism events with big corporate hospitality
components.
Of course, financial services and reinsurance sectors are the
largest generators of business travelers for Bermuda.
