All year long the Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Bermuda is luring lovers to the island with a free night stay. Any visiting married couple staying at the hotel within 30 days of their anniversary will get one complimentary night at the famous pink hotel. All the couple has to do is hand over a copy of their marriage certificate at check-in. It's that simple. If the date on the certificate is 30 days before or after the date of the hotel stay, one night is free.
And that’s only half the good news. Any additional nights during that same trip will get a special discount rate of $250. There is a minimum three-night stay required and the deal is based on availability. The special rate -- calculated as $125 per person per night -- coincides with the storied hotel’s 125th anniversary.
"With 2010 marking the 125th anniversary, we created the Anniversary Package for couples as a fun way to encourage them to come celebrate with us," said Rehanna Palumbo, director of sales and marketing for the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
"Most weddings in Bermuda take place between May and October or over Christmas, so couples often come back to celebrate their anniversaries. No matter when your anniversary is, though, or whether you've visited the island before, this is a great year to celebrate with us. We have lots of great deals and special events planned throughout the year."
Meantime, the hotel is also giving away a "Dream Destination Wedding" to one lucky couple who enters a contest put on in conjunction with Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine, Saks Fifth Avenue and JetBlue.
Hotel officials at the Princess broke the tantalizing giveaway news last month, but full details won't be revealed until Destination Weddings & Honeymoons' March issue. When the news is known, Bermuda.com will provide brides-to-be with an immediate update. Stay tuned.
