Our island might be small but take it from us, there’s abundance of terrific dining options; in fact over 150 from which to choose. From simple, unfussy cafes and bars where you can shoot the breeze with locals to top-notch fine dining for that special occasion, we’ve got you covered.
Take the opportunity to sample our delicious, locally-caught fish and guinea-chick lobster (when in season). Through much of our food is imported, farms scattered across the island provide good crops of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables. Local mangoes are to die for and you’ll love our sweet bananas. We liven up our fish chowder with dashes of sherry peppers and rum while the hearty local breakfast of codfish and potatoes comes with Bermuda avocados and bananas.
When the shadow start to stretch out and the island workers are done for the day, happy hour kicks in and many restaurants and bars offer drinks and nibbles at reduced prices. Our two most illustrious national drinks are the Dark n’Stormy (a mix of Bermuda dark rum and ginger beer) and the Rum Swizzle (a mix of fruit juices and rums). They both pack a good punch and won’t mix well with a scooter ride back to your accommodation!
Casual dress is acceptable at most restaurants, though some upscale eateries require a jacket and tie. And it’s best to make a reservation, especially in the summer high season. Our restaurants and bars are all non-smoking.
The following symbols indicate the restaurant price range person:

Restaurants fall into different classifications based upon menu style, preparation methods and pricing. Additionally, how the food is served to the customer also helps to determine the classification. Bermuda offers many dining experiences from formal to casual. You don’t have to travel far in Bermuda to sample a different dining experience, as there are many restaurants and hotel dining rooms that serve a variety of delicious cuisines.
