Breakfast Lunch and Dinner in Dockyard, Bermuda
Dockyard Pastry Shop & Bistro
The menu at this little café isn’t limited by any means. So don’t be fooled by its size, the Dockyard Pastry Co. may be small but it has a massive selection of goodies. The owner is a skilled baker and chocolatier, originally from Switzerland, so you know your’re getting the real deal. From the warm, buttery croissants, to the decadent gourmet cakes and cookies, you won’t believe that they’re all freshly baked on site! They offer salads, sandwiches and smoothies too, making it a great spot for breakfast or lunch. It’s a place where daytime drinking is accepted. They also boast a nice selection of summer cocktails, sparkling mimosa’s, Bellini’s and specialty coffees, so you can start your day in the West the proper way. Or perhaps you’d rather a spot of tea? Daily from 2-5pm they serve traditional English style High Tea, with an assortment of their homemade pastries. So be sure to stop by, stay a while, or grab a snack to go- either way you won’t be disappointed, unless you never make it there of course.
Bonefish Bar & Grill
While the menu at Bonefish Bar & Grill represents everything you could possibly think up for lunch including an octopus salad and freshly baked pizza by the foot – we recommend The Fish Taco’s. (Pairs perfectly with Magners Pear Cider) This light summer dish is served with a fresh seasonal salad, naughty French fries and smothered with chunks of juicy tomato and a special sauce. With plenty of indoor and outdoor patio seating overlooking the Great Sound you can’t go wrong. This is also a great spot to watch passerby’s and really get into summer groove, especially on Tuesday and Friday afternoons with live entertainment on the patio. Be sure to head back for drinks after the sun sets, the set is on! Enjoy Salsa dancing, DJ’s and even just good conversation with great people under the stars.
This authentic British style pub features tasty and unique gastro pub-style dishes, and big beers made in house from grain to glass. It doesn’t really matter what time of day you visit the Frog, you’re in for a real treat – however, we favour dinner. Served from 5pm – 10pm, the ambiance is simply a sight to see. Candles are dimly lit throughout the main dining room, Admirals Room and the main walkway. Indulge in pure comfort food at its best, featured above is a Shiitake Mushroom Pot Pie, (Pairs perfectly with Mark West California Pinot Noir ) from the Pie menu. That is correct – there is a pie menu and who doesn’t love a good pie. Also featured is Smoked Brisket in a Yorkie, this tasty dish is cooked in a wood fired smoker for 10 hours, stuffed in Yorkshire pudding and served with buttered peas and house gravy. MMM – so good. If you are a salad type, the Blackened Wahoo Salad is a delicious choice. For dinner and entertainment visit on a Monday and rock out with Will Black or on a Tuesday, bring your crew for Quiz Night. Be sure to check out the arcade before or after dinner, yes, you read correctly. There is a full-blown games / arcade room inside the Frog. How cool is that?
