Hotel & Resort Tips

Find your perfect accommodations in Bermuda

No matter where you’d like to stay during your trip to Bermuda, the options are plentiful. From gorgeous hotels and five-star resorts to quaint or quiet inns, apartments, cottages and even floating hotels, you are sure to find a great place to unwind at the end of a fun-filled day on the island.

Apartments
If you’re staying for an extended time or visiting with your family in tow, it can be nice to have the convenience of an apartment—your home away from home. Located on the scenic South Shore Road in Warwick Parish, the Sandpiper Apartments are central, in a quiet residential area within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, major hotels and public transportation. You can even walk to gorgeous Elbow Beach, Warwick Long Bay, Horseshoe Bay and Astwood Park. With studio and one-bedroom apartments available, all units have air conditioning, TV, WiFi and full kitchens with a dining area. There’s even a swimming pool, gas BBQ and laundry facilities on site.

Valley Cottages & Apartments is another great option. Located in a lush valley filled with palm trees and tropical flowers is this comfortable set of one-bedroom suites that feature air conditioning, a full kitchen, high speed WiFi and a washer/dryer. In the heart of the island, it has easy access to nearby ferry docks and the island-wide bus system. Also within walking distance is Elbow Beach, a supermarket, bicycle rentals and tennis courts.

Cottages
There are several quaint cottages spread throughout Bermuda. If you’re looking for extended accommodations and want to wake up every day with a waterfront or garden view, look no further than Greenbank Guesthouse & Cottages. Run by the Ashton family for more than 60 years, this historic property sits on the Salt Kettle Peninsula, just minutes from the City of Hamilton. Steeped in mature sub-tropical gardens and spacious lawns, it’s an ideal place to spend some time. Cottages and apartments are en suite, with fully equipped kitchenettes and daily housekeeping. About a minute walk away is Salt Kettle ferry landing, which takes guests to Hamilton where restaurants, shops and entertainment await. At the end of the day, enjoy the sunset from your deck.

Floating hotels
If you’re looking for a unique, luxurious and private place to stay, plan your trip-of-a-lifetime on a floating boutique hotel. The view from your personal balcony is guaranteed to be stunning as you set sail in style. Featuring facilities you’d find at a typical hotel—like fresh towels, comfortable beds, dining areas and the like, this is an incredible, albeit expensive, option for couples or groups who like to be on the go. Additional amenities—everything from private chefs to waterslides and kayaks—vary from boat to boat.

Guest Houses
There are numerous guesthouses in Bermuda, each with their own character. One historic bed and breakfast is called the Granaway Guest House & Cottage. Built in 1734, it features panoramic views of the Great Sound. It’s the perfect spot to relax, or, in the summer, it’s a great place to swim and snorkel. The pool is set in a lush walled-in garden area and there’s even a gate that allows guests onto the Belmont Hills Golf Course. Breakfast is served in the dining room, in the garden or in your room. Centrally located in Warwick Parish, Granaway is a short walk to museums, galleries, botanical gardens and more.

Cottages
Sitting on Rose Hill in the UNESCO World Heritage site of St. George’s, St. Georges Club Hotel is an ideal place to enjoy your escape to Bermuda. Featuring 28 beautifully renovated cottages and surrounded by lush, peaceful gardens, St. George’s guests also enjoy access to two pools, two tennis courts, a fitness centre, the nearby Five Forts Golf Club at The St. Regis Bermuda Resort and an offsite scooter and electric car rental facility. A short walk from historic downtown St. Georges and several beaches, you’ll enjoy putting your feet up at the end of a perfect day and watching the sun set beyond the harbour.

Inns
Fourways Restaurant and Inn is a charming and intimate restaurant and cottage colony. Its central location in Paget makes this a haven for those who like to golf, shop or spend time at the beach. Spacious suites and deluxe accommodations include a two-sink vanity room with separate shower/bathroom, bath robes, hair-dryers, flat screen digital TV and complimentary beach passes. It’s all set in a tranquil garden complete with a freshwater pool. Enjoy a meal at Fourways Restaurant where diners will discover an 18th-century fireplace, cedar beams and original stone walls, adding to its Bermudian tradition. Sophisticated yet relaxed, Fourwayspatrons can enjoy a lavish meal and a Wine Spectator award-winning selection of red and white wines.
