Bermuda Ferry Service ~ Sea Express

Bermuda's Fast Ferries - A great way to get around while taking in the sights
Bermuda's Sea Express ferry system provides residents and visitors with a reliable, regular mode of transport. The network of stops across the island makes ferries an easy, convenient way to travel around Bermuda, and affords passengers a perfect opportunity to see the island¹s beauty from the water.

There are three year-round ferry routes:

Pink Route, Hamilton-Paget-Warwick ($2.50 each way);

Green Route, Hamilton-Rockaway ($4 each way);

Blue Route, Hamilton-West End (Somerset)-Dockyard ($4 each way). A seasonal service operates from mid-April to mid-November from Dockyard to St. George's (Orange Route, $4 each way).

  • Orange Route (Comuter Route) - Effective November 14th, 2006; This schedule is Monday to Friday.
    Leave Hamilton 5.20pm arrrives St. George's 6.00pm, leaves St. George's 6.05pm arrives St. David's 6.10pm
    Leave St. David's at 6.15pm, arrives Dockyard at 6.50pm, leaves Dockyard at 7pm arrives Hamilton at 7.20pm.

Note: PTB will provide a morning feeder bus leaving St. David’s (Dennis’ Hideaway) at 6.55am arriving at Ships Wharf at 7.05am. Marine & Ports shall not be liable for loss or damage to property.

PTB will provide an afternoon feeder bus leaving Ships Wharf to Dennis’ Hideaway at 6.25pm after ferry arrives from Hamilton and Market Wharf.

In addition, there are four high-speed catamarans which service the longer routes to Dockyard and Rockaway, as well as St. George's in summer. Travelling up to a speed of 32 knots, each boat is modern and comfortable, with a capacity of 200 or more passengers. The catamarans carry cycles at a cost of $4. Please ensure you have purchased your tickets, tokens or passes in advance to travel on all routes since cash is not accepted. The most popular method of payment for visitors is the Transportation Pass, good for unlimited rides on the bus and ferry system. Passes are available for one-day ($12), three-day ($28), four-day ($35) or seven-day ($45) pass. Reduced prices are available for children ages 5-16 ($2); children under 5 ride free.

Getting to and from Dockyard ~ New Evening Ferry Schedule

There will sufficient ferry service between Dockyard and Hamilton so cruise ship passengers can enjoy Destination Dockyard and Harbour Nights! An additional 7pm tender will go from Hamilton to Dockyard in addition to the regularly scheduled 6.30pm and 8pm ferries. Ferries will be returning to Hamilton every hour until 11.30pm 5-nights a week, Monday-Friday! On Wednesdays there will be a 6.05pm ferry from St. George's and a 7pm ferry from Dockyard both going to Hamilton for Harbour Nights. The 7pm ferry is in addition to the already scheduled 6.30 and 8pm ferries. A ferry to Dockyard will leave every hour until 11pm. A special Wednesday ferry from Hamilton to St. George's direct will leave at 10pm. Enjoy a 20 minute ferry trip on Bermuda's Sea Express ferry with regular stops at Dockyard.

From mid-April to November, the ferry offers a direct trip between St George and Dockyard. The one-way fare is $4 for adults, $2 for children and tickets, token and passes are accepted. The most popular method of payment for visitors is the Transportation Pass, which is good for unlimited rides on the bus and ferry system. The Passes cost $12 for one day, $28 for three 3 days, $35 for four days and $45 for seven days. This route can also carry cycles at a cost of $4.
