May is Heritage Month ~ "Life in Old Bermuda"
"Life in Old Bermuda" is the theme for Heritage Month and the Bermuda Day Parade. Bermuda Day (May 24) is one of the most celebrated Holidays in Bermuda and highligths Heritage Month. This holiday, which takes on the name of our beloved Island, was formerly known as Victoria Day (after Queen Victoria), Empire Day, Commonwealth Day and now Bermuda Day. "Bermuda's Maritime Connections" is the theme for Heritage Month and the Bermuda Day parade. The parade starts in the City of Hamilton and ends at Bernard Park in Pembroke where entertainment continues. It is considered the first day of summer and usually to first day of the year to jump in the ocean!
